Stainless Steel 316/304 Equal Tee ANSI B16.9 Sch40/Sch80 Butt Weld Fitting High Pressure Pipeline
1. Product Description
The Stainless Steel Tee is a forged or seamless pipe fitting with a three‑way design, manufactured from corrosion‑resistant austenitic and duplex stainless steel alloys. Its construction features a main run and a perpendicular or angled branch outlet, creating a compact junction for pipeline branching. The component is produced via cold‑expansion or hot‑extrusion techniques, followed by solution annealing and pickling to restore metallurgical properties and surface finish. Both equal‑bore and reducing‑bore configurations are offered, with the latter incorporating a diameter transition directly into the fitting body.
2. Product Applications
This fitting serves as the primary solution for creating lateral take‑offs in metallic piping systems. It is deployed wherever fluid streams need to be subdivided or combined – from high‑pressure steam networks in power plants to corrosive chemical lines in processing facilities. Other prominent uses include offshore oil platforms, refinery transfer lines, HVAC chilled‑water loops, pharmaceutical water systems, semiconductor fabrication utilities, and municipal water distribution. The product also excels in cryogenic service (liquid nitrogen, LNG) and high‑temperature thermal oil circuits.
3.Product Advantages
-
Alloy versatility – available in multiple grades (including low‑carbon, molybdenum‑bearing, and duplex variants) to match specific corrosive environments.
-
Thermal cycling resilience – maintains dimensional stability and leak‑tightness under repeated heating and cooling cycles.
-
Erosion resistance – smooth internal bore and gradual branch contour minimise flow turbulence and abrasive wear.
-
Simplified inventory – reducing tees eliminate the need for separate reducers, cutting component count and installation time.
-
Comprehensive certification – fully traceable material test reports (MTR) and positive material identification (PMI) available per project requirements.
-
Ease of inspection – clear dimensional markings and standardised end preparations enable rapid quality verification on site.
